The paper is snow-white, heavy and smooth. If you look at the second photo, you will see that multi-layering is not so terrible, and it does not consume a lot of ink!
The ink doesn’t bleed outside your painting lines and you get fabulous blending. There are no puddles of ink, because the paper immediately absorbs it. So, you shouldn’t expect that wet inks will blend themselves without your participation, but, as I wrote earlier, they blend perfectly and quickly - you just have to do it yourself!
